Diminutive spanish manufacturer Spania GTA Motor is at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show to show off the latest evolution of the New Spania GTA Spano, whose power has increased up to 900 hp. The new version comes with a carbonfibre bodywork in a flashy yellow, but the main differences in the comparison with the New Spania GTA Spano presented in Geneva last year are the new shape of the rear bonnet and a mild restyling of the interior.
The New Spania GTA Spano is actually a limited edition series that will spawn 99 units, all of which will be equipped with Spano’s own twin-turbocharged 8.4-liter V10, now with an output of 900 horsepower and torque limited electronically to 1000 Nm. However, upon request, the Spania can provided it witha special electronic system that would cut that power down to 450 hp whenever the full 900 hp is not required. The New Spania GTA Spano accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of over 350 km/h (217 mph).
The chassis is a light and stiff combination of carbon fibres, titanium and Kevlar, which palys a big role in making the New Spania GTA Spano weighing only 1,350 kilograms. The car measures 4.60 meters in length, 1.98 meters in width and 1.18 meters in height, with a wheel-base of 2.80 meters. The New Spania GTA Spano is offered with two sequential transmission options: a 7-speed automatic with paddles at the wheel or a 7-speed manual.
